On top of the poorly threaded straps the magnetic latch is made of anodized aluminum and the paint can easily be scratched off as you can see by the pictures, again haven't had this bag for more than a day and it's showing wear and tear of at least a year.

The padded straps were very cushiony upon purchase but with time and heavy textbooks, they did eventually rip. If you know how to sew, it can be fixed though.

You can tell that the backpack was designed to be tightened and loosened at the straps regularly; you tighten them when carrying but loosen it up when you want to access the side openings or take off the bag. Peak Designs even added a small webbing loop to pull the buckle so you can loosen the straps with ease.
