I'm 6'4" and deep in dad bod territory. Most backpacks are not proportional to my torso. I've used a messenger bag for work for some time, but am returning to school this fall and would prefer to go back to backpacking around campus.

Some of the designs from Topo Designs have caught my eye, even if they are marketed as travel bags rather than for daily use (such as [this](https://topodesigns.com/products/convertible-travel-bag-laptop-backpack-30l?variant=40136110899253)). I also need something that can hold a 15 inch laptop.

Suggestions for other brands or models that suit us bigger-bodied folk are appreciated. Or if you have experience with one of these travel bags from Topo. Thanks!

 It is toward the end of August the latter half of August of 2017 and this is something that Gretchen found to be really, really awesome, especially with those rainy and a little more chilly days which are gonna require some waterproofing of all your indoor gear sometimes and the versatility to go outside. The Tuck Pack from Timbuktu is big enough to fit a laptop, but not bulky. It's also durable enough to wear on a hike or a bike, but it's also fashionable since the brand was founded by a bike messenger. Timbuktu knows what they're doing with holding up things that are both good-looking but still super functionable and hardcore

 So that's that and then i've got a notebook in here too so yeah first way to access. It is just opening up the main compartment like this, but you can actually also access it from the back panel. So if you look on the back panel, you'll see there's like a little zipper here, so you just unzip that and then you can access it. So, as you can see, um the bag does have a bit of like a tactical feel because it has the webbing on the front. But this is actually for a u-lock, so, as i mentioned before, if you're commuting to work by bike, it's really convenient to be able to just stick your lock in here and just go on with your day

 The days i did ride my bike. It was really really nice and really comfortable same on the shoulder straps here. You'Ve got nice bit of padding and some mesh, and then we have the sternum strap, which is really easy to remove you just unhook it there like that um for the most part they stayed in place. I only had once where this strap just sort of disconnected and and fell off, so maybe watch out for that

 So you can see at the back. There is the laptop compartment. So there's actually two ways to access this. The first is just here when you've got the main compartment open and i believe it fits up to a 17 inch

 Its a nice bag - don't get me wrong but its small, and geared for style rather than function. My biggest knock is that the straps are not comfortable at all. Disappointed

Got it in the mail today; very decently sized, carries well. It sits flat on my back, which is also super nice; especially when you travel using public transportation a lot, like me. I checked their website before purchasing this bag, and it has really good reviews there as well (and it's listed at the same price). I'll edit my review after wearing it out more often
